Iestyn Davies joins HOC for a program of Bach!
Internationally renowned countertenor Iestyn Davies most recently wowed New York audiences with his portrayal of the baroque era’s “rockstar” castrato Farinelli in Farinelli and the King on Broadway. In the 2018 -2019 season Davies will sing with the Glyndebourne Festival, the Metropolitan Opera, and Lyric Opera in repertoire ranging from baroque to contemporary works.
Bach’s cantatas for alto take us on a musical journey from fear and uncertainty to conviction in faith. Experience the genius of Bach as Iestyn Davies sings some of the master's most daring and inventive music.
