Soprano Addie Hamilton has been praised for her “velvety, clear voice” (New York Times). A native of Atlanta, Georgia, Ms. Hamilton has for the last two years been studying and performing in New York City.
Ms. Hamilton was selected as a 2015 finalist in the National Opera Association’s Carolyn Bailey and Dominick Argento Vocal Competition. In 2012, she was given an Encouragement Award at the Georgia division’s Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions. Ms. Hamilton showed her versatility as a performer when she placed 2nd in the National Finals of the English Speaking Union’s National Shakespeare Competition in 2009.
In May of 2015 Ms. Hamilton completed her Masters in Music degree in vocal performance at the Manhattan School of Music under the tutelage of Marlena Malas. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Georgia with a double degree in Music Education (BMus) and German (BA) and was selected as a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
